Renowned Spanish chess players will visit Kochi for a chess friendly game against Indian chess players on 26th July 2018 in two venues at Ernakulam and the event is organized by Ernakulam Chess Association
Most of the players have already achieved world-class titles like the Grandmasters and International Masters.
The list of the Spanish side includes huge names like David Antón, Iván Salgado, Miguel Santos, Sabrina Vega, Anna Matnadze, Marta García and their coach David Martínez,
some of whom are amongst the top 100 based on World Rankings.
The Indian chess veterans who will be challenging Spain for this unique competition will be S L Narayanan, Abhimanyu Puranik, Diptayan Ghosh, Harshit Raja, Soumya Swaminathan, Kiran Manish Mohanty and coach Vishal Sareen.
